On March 30, the Obama Administration established a new federal working group as part of a national response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. This interagency team will address the disproportionate incidence of HIV/AIDS among women, particularly women of color.
From Regina Quattrochi, Chief Executive Officer: Bailey House, a member of the “30 for 30″ Campaign joins Chairperson C. Virginia Fields in applauding President Obama for establishing a high level interagency workgroup to address the intersection of HIV incidence, intimate partner violence and healthcare disparities for women, particularly women of color. This is a tremendous victory, which we hope will reduce HIV incidence among women and create better strategies to address the social determinants of HIV infection among women.
