Housing First! An alliance of organizations, institutions, businesses and individuals concerned with stimulating massive new investment in New York's housing infrastructure. National AIDS Housing Coalition (NAHC) NAHC believes that persons living with HIV/AIDS have a fundamental right to decent, safe, affordable housing and supportive services that are responsive and appropriate to their self-determined needs. National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) A nonprofit organization whose mission is to mobilize the nonprofit, public and private sectors of society in an alliance to end homelessness. National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) The National Association of People With AIDS advocates on behalf of all people living with HIV and AIDS in order to end the pandemic and the human suffering caused by HIV/AIDS. National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), established in 1987, is the premier national organization dedicated to developing leadership within communities of color to address the challenges of HIV/AIDS. New York AIDS Coalition (NYAC) The New York AIDS Coalition (NYAC) is an alliance of community-based service providers and their supporters working for increased funding and fair policies for people living with HIV/AIDS in New York State. New York City AIDS Housing Network (NYCAHN) The New York City AIDS Housing Network (NYCAHN) is a coalition of nonprofit housing providers, AIDS service organizations, homeless and formerly homeless people living with HIV/AIDS. Supportive Housing Network of New York (SHNNY) The Supportive Housing Network of New York (the Network) represents the statewide supportive housing community of over 160 non-profit organizations that have developed and operate over 20,000 units of safe, affordable housing with on-site services. Government Resources Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) The Health Resources and Services Administration's mission is to improve and expand access to quality health care for all. Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) HOPWA makes grants to local communities, States, and nonprofit organizations for projects that benefit low income persons medically diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their families. Mayor of New York City on Housing NYC.gov Housing provides online information and resources to tenants and building owners in New York City. US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HUD is the Federal agency responsible for addressing America's housing needs and improving and developing the nation's communities. HIV/AIDS Information AIDS INFO Offering the latest federally approved information on research, clinical trials, and treatment for patients and health care providers. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC's HIV mission is to prevent HIV infection and reduce the incidence of HIV-related illness and death, in collaboration with community, state, national, and international partners. HIV Insite Comprehensive, up-to-date information on HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention, and policy from the University of California San Francisco. HIV Positive Information on topics such as HIV and nutrition, Women and children with HIV, and HIV and pain. Kaiser Family Foundation The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation is an independent philanthropy focusing on the major health care issues facing the nation. TA Clearinghouse Website A website with technical assistance (TA) information and resources for HIV/AIDS service providers in the New York area. The Clearinghouse also offers resources for people living with HIV/AIDS. Housing Resources AIDS Alabama AIDS Alabama devotes its energy and resources statewide to helping people with HIV/AIDS live healthy, independent lives and works to prevent the spread of HIV. AIDS Housing Corporation (AHC) AIDS Housing Corporation is a not-for-profit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts that facilitates the creation of housing programs for people living with HIV disease and AIDS. AIDS Housing of Washington (AHW) AIDS Housing of Washington (AHW) is a Seattle-based nonprofit that develops HIV/AIDS housing locally and provides technical assistance nationally. Connecticut AIDS Residence Coalition The Connecticut AIDS Residence Coalition seeks to identify and serve the housing and support needs of people living with HIV/AIDS by establishing and maintaining high standards of housing and support services; providing technical assistance that builds organizational capacity; advocating for responsible public policy and generating community awareness. Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) CSH supports the expansion of permanent housing opportunities linked to comprehensive services for persons who face persistent: mental health; substance abuse; and other chronic health challenges, and are at risk of homelessness. Gregory House, Hawaii Gregory House Programs is committed to the on-going assessment and development of programs that meet the housing needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS throughout Hawaii. While its orginal mission was to educate, the AIDS Foundation has added comprehensive services for people living with HIV disease and AIDS and an aggressive public policy component to compel federal and state governments to address the growing epidemic.
